| Post subject: | logging on problems |
I'm having problems logging on. I log on and evrytime i want to look at a topic or post on a topic it logs me out and I have to log on again. I gather I'm not the only oe having problems. It has also taken 4 attempts to get the runes site working this morning. What is the problem

Other members with this problem have found that when they used a different machine to log on everything was fine. This lead them to try resetting the cookie on their original machine, which fixed the problem. You may like to give that a try. |

If using Microsoft Internet Explorer, try this, Tools(menubar) – internet options(menu item) – security(tab) – trusted sites (green logo) – sites(button) And then add www.runespuzzle.com to the list of trusted sites. It worked for me, but that's no guarantee

I have found this problem for some while now on whichever machine I use, but it only happens if I use the http://www.runespuzzle.com address. If I use the native address http://runespuzzle.freeforums.org/index.php instead then it all works fine. Kevin |

I've found that if I login and send a message - I have no problem. So I tend to log in and send a test message to myself (sad way of getting emails) - but it seems to work. I can then access the forums. |

Thanks Kevin. Have at last managed to use forum properly again. I had a computer problem and the laptop had to be sent off for repairs and it was when it came back I started getting problems. Thought it was just me!! Any way it's good to be back but unfortunately haven't progressed much further with the runes. |

I tried to log in using the link in my favourites box this morning, only to get a message saying the forum does not exist.  I was relieved to find it was still here when I tried a different route.

I've had that problem before, but I found it worked if I typed the web address in or I typed 'runes puzzle forum' into google. |
