Hi! Welcome aboard (yes, some of the Gods are still watching the mortals )
Don't forget to come and say hello in the "Introductions" thread in the Off-Topic section of the Forum - right at the bottom of the page.

The Runes will test your anagram skills to the limit as you progress - several people have used a set of Scrabble tiles to help them. The Knots are simply the most obvious example of this..

And think of the letters in the Labyrinths as being different possible exits from the maze. All you have to do is find which of the exits (i.e. which letter) is the "right" one.

The only comment I will make from the start is that you should never give up. There will be times in this puzzle when you want to burn it, throw it away, tear it up, kill the Gatekeeper - we've all been there! But there are lots of us now that prove that it's all possible.

Each puzzle gives a letter, (or a number). How you get a letter varies with the puzzles of course. Bear this in mind later on as you encounter odd, random puzzles.

In the Labyrinth there is only one letter that you can get to from the entry point (in this one - they get harder as you progress!). There are three other letters indicated on the page. Use all these letters to make up the bottom word.
You will learn how to do new puzzles on each page and gradually build up the skills needed to progress. Part of the fun is that there are no instructions given and you have to work out what you have to do....
But never hesitate to ask for help, as there are a lot of friends out here who are keen to encourage newcomers! :D

They certainly do get harder, even though they are not the most challenging on the puzzles! I will also warn you that they get more boring the larger they become too. I almost died of boredom in my armchair doing the one on page 20!
