Welcome Payne :D

Yes, part of the glory of this puzzle is that it is all a mystery - no explanations at all on the pages themselves...... The first pages introduce the "main" puzzles gradually, and these will slowly get harder as you progress. Concentrate on these for now and don't worry about the odd little pictures etc - just think of them as decoration! Once you have deciphered some more of the actual runes you will be able to decode some little messages along the way which will begin to open up the bigger picture

Have fun!

My first impression was "Aaaargh! How am I going to cope!", but now I'm getting the hang of some of the puzzles and I've worked my way onto page 7 already. :D

Wecome Kingsley :D
Congratulations on your rapid progress..... there is a lot of fun and frustration ahead :?
It would be nice if you could say something in the "Introductions" Forum which you will find in the bottom section. And keep us posted about your prgress through the pages in those Forums too - there are still a few Rune addicts who can't keep away and are keen to offer encouragement to newcomers :P

Slow but sure Sheena, keep on going. Every small step is one step nearer.

Persistence is a great virtue..... :) There are several good examples of people who have taken their time with the Runes rather than rushing at it - and getting all the enjoyment along the way. And others, like Giraffe, who have taken a rest for a while away from the mind-boggling challenges and then come back to it refreshed!
There is so much more to it all than meets the eye..... so welcome again to those newcomers.... :D

First impression: Where are the instructions?
Second impression: I'll do that labyrinth while I'm worrying about the lack of instructions.

Welcome Fernando - always good to greet a new adventurer on the road to the Runes Secret
As for getting instructions.... isn't that just typical of life? Just when you think you are beginning to get the hang of it, a new mystery arrives

Hi Fernando

Those were two of my first impressions too!

After the initial 15 seconds of flipping through the pages my reaction was basically OMG!!! Then looking at the puzzles a little closer I realized I recognized some of the types of puzzles at least so I've been able to get started, but I have a feeling it won't be long before I'm stuck. :?

I'm definitely looking forward to the agony.

Welcome kiko13.
That is the best approach. Do the bits you can and you will be amazed at how much you've done. And by that time you'll be addicted.

Welcome Kiko13 :D
You will soon get familiar with the basic puzzles on the pages - you are introduced to them steadily and will quickly build up experience on how to tackle them. Don't worry about the extra bits and pieces (e.g. pictures) that lurk around in the background - these come into play much later!
Soooo.... have fun with the early pages and let us know if you need any help
It is worth reading the forums for the pages as you work your way through - although many of the entries are now quite old, and some of the people have long since finished (or given up.....) - they still contain lots of help and advice if you read them carefully :)
Have you spotted the "introductions" forum? That is where you can tell us something about yourself..
