No sticks allowed in the asylum.
And they'll take even the pencils away if we're not careful... :D

No need for sticks....... go for the carrots instead. You can always get very gentle shoves if really needed.

Wulfruna, you may be this forums saving grace. It may be that you are the all powerful one. :D :D We have no carrots to dangle. We can't offer Sunday lunch, a bed for the weekend or anything similar (Well we could, but what the OH's would say is an entirely different matter!) I can only assume that Rachel has dangled said carrots and a fat lot of good it's done her. She's in the same boat as the rest of us- Giraffes dinghy -and with the extra weight it's sinking fast. :D :D

I have the horrible feeling that when you get to the end of the pages your carrots will run out too

I too am feeling rather adrift with no sight of land in any direction.

I'm entirely the wrong person to ask to start a spoiler thread, you know :D
I'm much more at home on the other side of the curtain, as it were, where I'm writing puzzles. And I know exactly how I feel when someone publishes the answer for everyone to see - at least if they do it outside of the forum it was originally intended for, or when I specifically ask people not to do so.

So I think you can tell that you probably can't come up with a carrot that's big enough

We don't want the answers, just a shove in the right direction, so we don't all get so frustrated that we wander off never to return. As it is a pity when someone puts their all into devising these things, for people to start them and never finish. So if you are listening Oracle could we please check with either you or the Gatekeeper if we have finished a trail and get a yes or no.

Sorry folks, bit frustrated today.

When I mentioned carrots, I was thinking of those which are dangled just out of reach in order to keep the donkeys (i.e. us) moving on...... That is what this all feels like much of the time :? :? It is so nice to get the occasional bite of it when another puzzle falls into place!
Even Scurra still has a carrot top yet to reach at the end of the road.........
(oops - I haven't even found where the road goes yet!!)

Somehow I think it would take a lot more than carrots to bribe the joker - even my inside information gets me nowhere at all. :( :(
I agree that real spoilers don't belong on the Forum - and I have also been a recipient of Oracle's gentle chiding when I hadn't realised that a small comment could be taken as a hint. But we are allowed the occasional confirmation via a PM as to whether we are on the right lines - just to preserve some degree of sanity. Can't hold a pencil in a straitjacket

I started this thread saying that I hoped another one would be produced, I am now having second thoughts.
Difficult puzzles are a joy to do and I relish the challenge of them. However, I have got to the stage with this that I think it is so obscure as to be impossible apart from a few geneii (if thats the correct term for geniusses :) )
Earlier on I would have recommended it to anyone looking for a real challenge I'm not so sure now
